Edai Christian School (ECS) began in the year 2020 after being invited to start a school in Edai Town. ECS is a Campus of Sunrise Bethel Christian School. The founding Principal, Mr Roger Tumes, invested into the school, ensuring that the foundation was laid for a curriculum which is biblically based, and leads students to find their area of Christian service, with academic excellence paramount.

 

From our Early Learning Centre through to Grade school, it is our desire that students develop a personal relationship with Jesus leading to an understanding of the Christian way of life. It is our goal that we shine a light on truth, directing students to the author of all truth. 

 

Romans 12 verses 1- 3 indicates that any transformation begins with renewing our mind. It is our thinking which needs to be identified, engaged, evaluated, critiqued and, if necessary, changed.

 

The Bible says our thinking comes from the heart (Genesis 6:5; Proverbs 23:7; Daniel 2:30) as well as our willingness, our plans and decisions (Proverbs 16:1,9; Matthew 12:33-34).  Learning requires deep knowledge and conviction about the God-given purpose of life, to serve others and not ourselves and to be stewards of God’s creation.

 

At Edai Christian School, we believe that thinking is the key to knowledge and understanding.  Knowledge and understanding are treasures we should hold onto. Although we are just at the start of this journey, we trust that God will provide for our school.

 

Colossians 2: 2-3 reflects our goal that “… they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
